4、
Ubisoft has just stealth released Hungry Shark World for the Switch for £7.99 / $9.99.

Hungry Shark initially made its home on mobile stores back in 2016 where it received a very impressive 500 million downloads, but today it makes it's console debut.

The cartoonish game has you swim around the ocean as a shark devouring your prey, whether it be fish, seagulls or even people.

You have to keep eating to stay alive for as long as possible while exploring the deep depths of the ocean below. There are 25 different sharks to unlock, 4 maps to explore and lots of missions to complete.

We first wrote about BeMuse last year, an upcoming adventure/puzzle game from the developer of the charming Incoboto. Since then the demonic puzzler has evolved quite significantly, but its nature and art style remains equally intriguing.

The most notable change is the aesthetic. The original concept was a 2D sidescroller similar to Fluttermind's previous game, but now the game has changed to full 3D, its levels akin to dark rain-swept dioramas.

Gameplay-wise, BeMuse still revolves around a little boy, a mysterious island, and myriad secrets. While the game was initially going to be procedural and more like a roguelike, BeMuse is now a focused puzzle adventure, as you uncover rituals to summon and manipulate demonic entities.

BeMuse is still in development, without a release date, but is confirmed for iOS and Android. You can follow the game's progress on Fluttermind's Twitter page.

-
Encouraging players to get creative is always a fun way to engage with a game’s community. And, from the wide-eyed anime-inspired characters, to their countless collectable costumes, King’s Raid is a dream for fan artists. Put two and two together…

Earlier this year, King’s Raid developer Vespa teamed up with online art community Pixiv to launch an exciting competition for fans of the popular mobile RPG. The submission rules were simple: draw an illustration focusing on the heroes of King’s Raid, and enter it by 26th March. The potential reward? The admiration of players the world over, Vespa’s royal seal of approval – oh, and an impressive prize pool of 5 million yen (around £37,000).

There were a total of 1,061 colourful submissions, featuring heroes striking all sorts of dynamic poses and imagined in all manner of scenarios – from beach parties to wedding ceremonies. The standard was high, which must’ve meant a lot of backroom squabbles and tough decisions for the judges.

There could only be one main winner, though. That accolade went to artist Ren Tian for their work “Memory Fragment”, starring Jane in all her undead, purple-haired glory. Second prize went to two artists: ‘Meling’ for their depiction of Shea, and ‘Chibi Vanille’ for “A new bride’s dream”. 54 entrants in total received prizes for their artistic efforts. But perhaps most exciting of all – Vespa has plans to use the submitted work in exhibitions and fan merchandise.

You can browse through all the submissions within the game itself – simply log in or download King’s Raid from the App Store or Google Play. Alternatively, you can take a look at the art on the main competition page: https://www.pixiv.net/contest/kingsraid

- Captain Jim put away the fishing net upon which he was working, and welcomed them joyfully. In the searching light of the spring evening he looked older than Anne had ever seen him. His hair had grown much grayer, and the strong old hand shook a little. But his blue eyes were clear and steady, and the staunch soul looked out through them gallant and unafraid.
