1、
We've all come to love TinyTouchTale's gorgeous aesthetic, but did you know that the dev's latest game, Miracle Merchant, was originally something more culinary?
#FunFact I designed @miraclemerchant as a pitch for Nickelodeon after @cardcrawl was released. They weren't interested. #gamedev pic.twitter.com/dhyacJ8t39— TiNYTOUCHTALES (@tinytouchtales) August 17, 2017 Miracle Merchant, if you haven't had the pleasure yet, is a Solitaire-style game where you've got to stack ingredients to make potions for customers. The mechanic may be quite similar to Card Crawl and Card Thief, but it's put a nice twist on it.

TinyTouchTales developer Arnold Rauers released the fact on Twitter last night, revealing that Miracle Merchant started off as a pitch to Nickelodeon following Card Crawl's launch. They weren't very impressed, but while that's sad in a way it's also good news for us.

Yep, that means you could've been building Krabby Pattys in the Krusty Krab instead of mixing potentially deadly potions. The more you know, eh?

Check out Miracle Merchant on the App Store or Google Play if you haven't already.

I've already mentioned Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King when letting you know Rex Rocket is heading to iPad. But it deserves its own spotlight, I think.

Right now, developer Castle Pixel has Blossom Tales on Kickstarter where it's looking for $45,000 in funding to bring it to life.

It's already got all the looks, though - that is, if you're a fan of pretty pixels and retro Zelda. Yep, this is a retro-style action-RPG as far as the visuals are concerned.

The story is as "classic" as it gets, too. An evil wizard called Crocus puts the king under a sleeping spell while he takes over control over the land.

You play as a heroic warrior called Lily that has just become one of the esteemed Knights of the Rose. Her first assignment is to take down Crocus, then.

But Blossom Tales isn't quite as simple as that as this story is framed as being told by a grandpa to his granddaughter.

As he narrates it, the granddaughter may interrupt with questions that change events as they happen. That makes the story a little more interesting, I guess.

Blossom Tales is going to initially be released for PC but will come to iOS soon after. Android, Vita, and 3DS versions are all possibilities but cannot be guaranteed at this point, apparently.

You can support the game on Kickstarter, getting yourself a copy of the game for PC for $10. Beta access, wallpapers, and art books are available at higher pledges.

-
Gold Award-winning Lost in Harmony is making the move to Nintendo Switch on June 21st, according to publisher Playdius and developer Digixart Entertainment. This new version should be pretty close to the original mobile experience, making use of the Switch’s touchscreen.

It wouldn't be a good week without a zombie game to sink our teeth into, so let me point you to Last Day Alive which just soft launched on iOS in Sweden.

You'll know Glu Games from their simple-but-addictive mobile games like Restaurant DASH, Blood & Glory, Nicki Minaj: The Empire, and more. Last Day Alive, however, takes up a slightly more bloody approach as you're thrown into undead chaos armed with shotguns, grenades, rifles, and more.

It's up to you to save trapped survivors from hordes of zees, lay waste to enemy bases to steal their resources, take on more active enemies as you compete against other players in solo or 2v2 matches, build your own epic base, and more.

If you're in the Swedish region and fancy giving it a go, find it on the App Store free to play. If you're not but you'd like to try it out you can use our guide to create a foreign iTunes account.

Source: Sensor Tower.
